to compete in the marathon. Rod Hutchins was 34 years when he was diagnosed
with Guillain Barre syndrome, and he was paralyzed from the neck down. It was
24 years, 21 surgeries, two hip replacements, two scoped knees, one spinal
stimulator implant, and one knee replacement later. He raced towards his goal
of competing in the Iron Man course in Kona, Hawaii. Hutchins is competing again
in Idaho Fall’s Great Snake River Triathlon, finishing in third place for his
